Santa Catalina Island-Avalon

At one time bison were seen roaming nearby hills. Brought to the island in 1924 for the filming of the “Vanishing American “ other animals that are present; Island fox, mule deer and the white-tailed deer. Conservancy’s Wrigley Memorial, and Botanic Garden is our destination hike tomorrow. Yes the chewing gum family.

We arrived Santa Catalina Island – Avalon October 26th 2021 14:45. The sailing was very comfortable beam reach. Motoring only for the first hour at the start of day. The last great sail was my sister Alice’s birthday ( September 26th) on our way to Santa Cruz. This great sailing day was Brayden’s birthday. Lucky us! We have snorkelled, hiked and tried to have some chill time with our cruising friends.

Absolutely love all the cactus plants.
