It took a while to clean and dry the tent fly this morning. We were camped under a tree, and it dropped crud on our tent all night. It also continued to drip long after the rain had stopped.

Chris ended up with what looked like flea bites from last night. We think that the barnyard cat that hung out in the yurt may have caused an infestation. Hopefully our tent is okay, we’ll find out tonight.
So much nicer riding today. The hot humid weather yesterday was a challenge. We were hot and sticky all day, and even the two ice creams we had only helped temporarily. Our eating habits are really going to have to change when we go home. We’re on a “see food” diet while we cycle, we burn through so many calories.

We had some interesting animal encounters on the dike today. There were what turned out to be sheep guards across the path to keep the animals in. The lambs were adorable, and not afraid of the bikes. The adult sheep lying beside the path a couple of enclosures down barely lifted their heads as we rode past. I had no idea sheep pooped so much!

Beautiful scenery and great photos!
P.S. If we ate ice cream every time we feel hot and sticky we would have doubled our weight by now. Fortunately ice cream is not that widely available. We’ve had two ice cream sandwiches and one cone in the almost month we’ve been here.
Still loving FP and getting lots of refreshing swims in the bays.
I suppose hot and sticky is a way of life for you guys right now. We’re both losing weight even with the ridiculous eating habits. It’s one of the benefits of exercising almost constantly. 🙂
